The main goal of this textbook is to show high school students how calculus relates to biology in a way that maintains rigor while not being unduly formal. Biocalculus is a type of calculus that is used in the life sciences (PDF) promotes and demonstrates calculus concepts with examples chosen from a variety of biological fields, including genetics, biomechanics, drugs, physiology, ecology, pharmacology, epidemiology, and evolution, to name a few.
